Principal's Message

Welcome back to all our students, staff, and families following the autumn school holidays! I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable break and are feeling refreshed and ready for an action-packed Term 2 after a busy Term 1.
We have included some photos and highlights from some Term 1 activities for you to enjoy.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our School Athletics Carnival and Easter Hat Parade at the end of last term. A special thank you goes to our school P&C for hosting the cake stall, which was a great success.
During the holidays, there was plenty of construction work happening around the school. We saw the installation of our new in-ground sandpit, replacement of the concrete at the main entry gate, the commencement of the mobility bathroom upgrade, and essential tree maintenance was undertaken to keep our grounds safe and beautiful.
Our staff were also busy during the last two days, engaging in professional learning focused on Quality Teaching and, disability and inclusive practices to ensure we continue to support all our students effectively.
This term promises to be a busy and exciting one with many fun activities and school events planned. Please keep an eye on School Bytes for updates and important information throughout the coming weeks.
To help keep our students safe in the outdoors, we will continue to promote sun-safe behaviours. Students are required to wear their school hats or beanies during break times. We appreciate your support in encouraging this important practice.
The new school uniform has finally arrived after the delay experienced in Term 1 – thank you for your patience. As a reminder, the implementation of the new uniform will be phased in over the next two years, so students may wear either the new or old uniforms during this time.
Please also remember that students should not arrive at school before 8:40am unless they are arriving by bus or have prior approval after discussing individual arrangements with the school. This helps us maintain adequate supervision and ensure student safety.
Finally, all students and staff are warmly invited to attend the ANZAC Day March this Saturday. Please check School Bytes for further details.
We are looking forward to a wonderful Term 2 filled with learning, growth, and school celebrations!
Warm regards,
Steve Edmonds
Principal
