Pathways

Thanks to the generosity and support of Qantas, several of our students have recently enjoyed inspiring real-world career experiences in the aviation industry. Year 12 student Taylah took exciting steps towards her dream of becoming cabin crew through mentoring conversations with Kalinda Petrovski and an immersive behind-the-scenes experience with the Qantas Early Talent Team, where she explored cabin crew training, recruitment processes and virtual reality aircraft simulations. During the school holidays, two of our Year 10 students Nathania and Isabel also attended the Qantas NextGen Engineering Day at the airline’s Sydney Headquarters, gaining firsthand insights into engineering careers through guest speakers, hands-on activities and industry challenges. These authentic opportunities not only provide invaluable industry knowledge and practical advice, but also help students build confidence, expand aspirations and see future pathways come to life. Our sincere thanks to Georgie Dunstan, Kalinda Petrovski and the entire Qantas team for their ongoing commitment to inspiring the next generation of aviation professionals.
Two of our Year 10 students, Jiya and Sophia, recently completed an incredible week of work experience at OnePointHealth in Penrith as part of a new school holiday partnership program for students in Years 10–12. Beginning the week with a strong interest in physiotherapy, they were immersed in a wide range of allied health fields including podiatry, dietetics, chiropractic care, exercise physiology and orthotics, broadening their understanding of healthcare careers and future pathways. By the end of the experience, both students had discovered new areas of interest, with Jiya now considering dietetics and Sophia developing a passion for podiatry. We sincerely thank Maddy Vella (Class of 2020), Alicia Whiticker, Michael Todd, Chris Farrugia and the entire OnePointHealth team for providing such a valuable and inspiring opportunity for our students. Hear Jiya and Sophia talk about their experiences here.
Earlier this week we launched our new Discover the UNIverse Lunch & Learn series with a fantastic session presented by Australian Catholic University. Students gained valuable insights into university life, study options, scholarships, early entry pathways and teaching programs, while also learning about ACU’s strong graduate employability and vibrant campus culture. The session encouraged students to start thinking proactively about their post-school pathways and the many opportunities available to them beyond the classroom. A big thank you to Joseph and ACU for delivering such an engaging and informative presentation. Here from Year 12 student Cassie. There is a HUGE line up for Lunch and Learn this term - and students from Years 7-12 are encouraged to bring their lunch to N206 and discover their futures - they can RSVP via the emails that we send out in the week leading up to each event:

Our school is participating in the Choosing Your Uni National Virtual Expo (10–17 May 2026), a free online event held during National Careers Week. Across the week, students and parents can explore live and on-demand sessions from Australian universities, government organisations, and real students, covering topics like career direction, pathways, funding, scholarships and student life.
The Expo is run by Choosing Your Uni, an independent platform that helps students figure out what to study and where. It's not affiliated with any university — the guidance is unbiased and student-first.
