ANZAC Day & Grandparents Celebration

ANZAC Day & Grandparents Celebration Day
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the grandparents and special visitors who joined us for our ANZAC Day & Grandparents Afternoon. It was a truly special occasion, and we are so grateful to everyone who took the time to be part of it.
The afternoon offered our students a meaningful opportunity to connect with important people in their lives while reflecting on the significance of ANZAC Day. Through thoughtful conversations and shared activities, students listened to stories, gained insight into past experiences, and developed a deeper appreciation for the lives and perspectives of older generations.
What made the event so special was the genuine connection between generations. Students were fascinated to hear what school, childhood, and daily life looked like “back then,” and loved comparing it to their own experiences today. These conversations not only built understanding but also strengthened a sense of belonging and community within our school.
Bringing generations together in this way is incredibly valuable. It allows students to learn firsthand from the wisdom, resilience, and experiences of others, while also giving our visitors the chance to see and celebrate the world our students are growing up in. These shared moments help build respect, empathy, and connection across our community.
Thank you again to everyone who attended and helped make the afternoon so memorable. It is an experience our students will carry with them for a lifetime.
Thank you, Ms Short, for arranging this wonderful day.
