Layla

Hello! My name is Layla Chan Sau and I am a SRC member for Year 11. This year has been a rollercoaster ride for all of us. Something great that I have  really enjoyed was the excursion to The Street University with all of the 2026 SRC  to get to know others. The great thing about our school is that we’re so accepting of others cultures and how we're understanding of others. Often during break year 11’s spend their time talking with others or playing volleyball.

As part of The Student Representative Council, I got to help multiple Year 7’s with their first day of school. I still remember my first time being in Year 7 and I had two lovely people come and speak to me, they understood what it was like to join a fresh school. Now when I am at school I feel like I am with my second family. They make me a better person when I’m with them and I am grateful to have them.

My main goal for the rest of the year is to try out new things and not be afraid to ask help from my peers. I hope to be more involved in more social activities and make a difference in the SRC.

Mikayla

Hello I am Mikayla, a Year 7 SRC . This year has been a wonderful year so far because of the fun events. One thing l’ve really enjoyed at school was my Year 6 Taster and Orientation Day. Something I’ve learned about myself is that I can do stuff if I put my head to.

As part of the SRC, l got to go to the Liverpool Street University. A highlight of me was finding out I got to represent Year 7 in the SRC. One event I will be part of is our upcoming Anzac day March.

Starting Year 7 felt annoying and lonely at the beginning, but now nearly the end of the first term it feels easy and not lonely as I have met more and more friends. Being in high school for the first time was scary as I didn’t really know anyone but now I feel comfortable and I have lots of friends. One thing that helped me settle in was older students and teachers especially my Year Adviser.

I’m Rida Parvez, one of the Thomas Reddall High School students who applied for SRC in 2026. As part of the SRC I got to go on a fun excursion which was a  team building excursion at The Street University in Liverpool. Moving into year 7 has been a big change for me since I moved primary schools and had some friendship troubles.

Since then,I have joined a new friend group and they made me feel welcome and special.

Hello, I am Ruby, I am in Year 8 and this is my first year on the SRC. So far, this year has been good with not much going on, but there were a few events that have happened including RIOT (Resilience In Our Teens) Launch Day, SRC members went to Street University in Liverpool, Harmony day and a Swimming Carnival. Upcoming events include Athletics Carnival, Cross Country and the Anzac day ceremony at our school and in Campbelltown.

As part of the SRC, I got to go to Street University with the rest of the SRC who attended, it was really fun and I definitely recommend it.

There are also the SRC meetings, which are very helpful and informative.
