Dear Parents and Guardians,

A Beautiful Start to the School Year – "At OLHC, We Are One Family"

Our Beginning of School Year Mass was a truly wonderful celebration for our school community, bringing us together in faith and unity under the theme "At OLHC, We Are One Family." Fr. Michael led us in a beautiful and engaging Mass, encouraging everyone present to reflect on what it means to be part of God’s family. His words were inspiring, reminding us that we are all connected through love, kindness, and the teachings of Jesus.

We were incredibly proud of some of our Year 6 leaders who took on important roles during the Mass, including reading and assisting with various responsibilities. Their confidence and reverence set a fantastic example for our younger students. However, the highlight of the Mass was undoubtedly our newest members of the OLHC family—our Prep students—receiving their Guardian Angel Pins. This special moment served as a beautiful reminder that they are never alone and that there is always someone at school to look out for them and offer support.

It was a heartwarming way to begin the year, reinforcing the strong sense of belonging, care, and faith that makes our school community so special. At OLHC, we truly are one family.

Transition to nForma for Communication

As part of our ongoing improvements in school communication, we are continuing our transition to nForma as our primary platform for all school-related communication. Today, we have added several important forms that now need to be completed, which are available exclusively on nForma.

These forms include:

1.   2025 Photography and Video Permission Form – Ensuring we have your consent regarding the use of student images and videos in school communications.

2.   Parent-Teacher Conference Student Supervision Form – Allowing parents to indicate whether they require supervision of their children from 1.00pm-3.15pm.

3.   2025 ICT Acceptable Usage Agreement Form – Outlining guidelines and responsibilities for students when using school technology.

4.   2025 Child Safety Code of Conduct – Reinforcing our commitment to child safety and the responsibilities of students, staff, and parents.

To stay up to date with school communications and ensure you can access these essential forms, please download the nForma App if you have not already done so. Your prompt attention to completing these forms will assist us in maintaining smooth school operations and upholding important policies.

We appreciate your cooperation in adapting to this transition and your continued support of Our Lady Help of Christians.

Reminder: Drop-Off & Pick-Up Zone Etiquette

Some parents have raised concerns regarding the drop-off/pick-up zone on Henry Street. The council-posted signs clearly state "No Parking" during designated morning and afternoon times. However, it has been noted that some parents are leaving their cars unattended in this area, which disrupts traffic flow, causes confusion, and creates potential safety risks for children.

To ensure a smooth and safe drop-off and pick-up experience for everyone, we kindly ask all families to follow the No Parking rule and remain in their vehicles while in the designated zone. Additionally, please be mindful that council officers may enforce these regulations, which could result in fines for those who leave their cars unattended.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school community safe and ensuring a seamless process for all.

Kind regards,
