A Fantastic Start to PE in 2025!

It has been a great start to PE this year, with students across all year levels diving into a range of engaging activities designed to develop their fundamental movement skills, teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship. The past 3 weeks has been all about developing foundational movement skills whilst embedding high expectations of sportsmanship and explicitly incorporating the development of these skills into each lesson.

Students have participated in a variety of tagging games, movement games, invasion games, and team challenges. These activities have helped build confidence in skills such as dodging, running, balancing, throwing, and catching while also encouraging positive interactions and collaboration. It has been fantastic to see students working together, supporting their teammates, and showing great sportsmanship in every lesson.

As we continue through the term, students will have more opportunities to refine their skills and apply them in different game situations. We look forward to seeing their continued enthusiasm, effort, and teamwork in PE!

ACPS Swimming Carnival

As captured in last editions Newsletter we had a fantastic ACSP swimming carnival with just the right balance of competition and fun. We have since had many of our students representing ACPS at the District Swimming Carnival with some moving onto Division Swimming. Thank you to Gavin and Catriona for providng some more images that captured the day.
