Circus clowning, teamwork and National Pride

We've continued on with our Term 1 unit of Circus Fun and learning the meaning and Auslan signs of the Australian National Anthem. It's been fabulous to see new Auslan skills showing up in Assembly each Monday. We will continue to consolidate this in coming weeks.

This week we have started exploring the clowning skill of 'Act & React'. The students have done a terrific job thinking about slowed down timing, sharing emotions with the audience and using mime and exaggerated movements to convey ideas and feelings. Next week we will have Ruccis Circus school in to teach us some more tricks around juggling and balance!

Seussical Jr Production: June 13-15th

It was terrific to see the full Grade 3-6 part of the cast meet on Tuesday together to practise a song together. Thanks Erica and Gavin for your time working with the group this week. Please help your children learn the song lyrics and spoken lines (if they have them). All is available on the dropbox link  https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/j49dg3osozbs3i4mhb6p7/AFvmmCyM4SKD5YmoW4BEQN4/2025%20CAST%3ACREW?rlkey=9ojuhkgmlet7ytv2xva06sus9&subfolder_nav_tracking=1&st=c1m50qd2&dl=0

This show is shaping up to be another very memorable childhood experience and an absolute joy for the audience - the inside playground and incredible sets, very catchy tunes and our enthusiastic and talented students. Compass consent and payment is now out so check out Events tab on compass.

Looking forward to an exciting and rewarding year ahead with you all,
