A Fantastic Start to the Year in the Performing Arts!

The Performing Arts classroom has been buzzing with energy and excitement as we kick off another incredible year! Over the first few weeks, students have been getting to know each other through engaging team-building exercises and games, fostering a sense of collaboration and confidence.

One of the highlights so far has been the introduction of this year’s whole-school production, 'Shrek Jr, The Musical!' Students are eager to begin exploring the elements of performance, including voice projection, articulation, characterisation, use of space, and expressive gestures. These foundational skills will not only support their performance abilities but also enhance their overall communication and creativity.

A reminder to all families that students from Years 1–6 are required to have a music bag containing a descant recorder, recorder book, and display folder. Parents of Year 1 students and those new to the school will receive further details via Compass regarding purchasing these items.
