Student Leadership Events and Activities in Term 3  

Term 3 is full of excitement, creativity and community spirit, and there’s something for everyone in the coming weeks! 

Maffra’s Got Talent Is Back! Our popular talent show is officially underway, with three lunchtime heats taking place over the next three Tuesdays. Students and staff are encouraged to come along and support your peers as they showcase their amazing skills. The Grand Finale will be held on Monday 25th August during our assembly time and staff and students will be able to vote for their favourite act to be crowned the winner of Maffra’s Got Talent 2025! 

Book Week Casual Dress Day – Tuesday 19th August Get ready to bring your favourite book characters to life! Students and staff are invited to dress up as a character from any book they love. Whether it’s Harry Potter, Matilda, or even a villain or two, creativity is encouraged! 

Carnival Day – Monday 1st September A highlight of the term, Carnival Day promises fun, games and fantastic stalls! Organised by our Year 11 and 12 students along with our dedicated student leaders, the event will feature a variety of activities and games. Stay tuned, more details will be shared soon! 

Game Making Club 

Have you ever wanted to make a board game? What about a card game? Do you not know how? Would you like to? 

During lunchtime on Thursdays, in Talmaru, there will be a new Game Design Club where you can learn how to design fun and interesting games with other people who want to do the same.  

School for Student Leadership Bakesale 

The students that recently attended the school for student leadership are running a bake sale to help raise money to donate hygiene products to the local neighborhood house. It will be held on the 29th of August. We will be selling an assortment of baked goods.  If parents or guardians are interested in baking treats for our fundraiser, you can drop it off at the office on the 28th of August with an ingredient list attached.
