Welcome back to term 3!
I hope you had a restful break and enjoyed some family time. I had the good fortune of visiting my sister in New Zealand for a week which was relaxing and fun.
We have very full days planned for the next 9 weeks. One of the events are the Student Conferences on 13 August where the students come to school with their parents to discuss their learning with their teacher. It is a 15 minute window of time for discussion. Students do not attend school other than for their conference time. A reminder that you can make contact with your class teacher about your child’s progress at any time. TheirCare will run on this day if needed. Please book direct with them.
Next week we send 54 Year 5 and 6 students with 4 staff and 14 parents to Mt Buller for our annual ski camp. With the forecast looking good and the amount of snow on the mountain they are sure to have a great time.
Other events this term include the Senior and Junior Athletics, Book Week celebrations with a Dress-Up Day/ Book Week Parade with an invitation for Grandparents/Special Persons and family friends to visit, the Year 3 Camp to Camp Bayview and the Year 4 Camp to Camp Jungai. Finally we have the P/1 concert on Wednesday 10 September and the Year 2-6 concert Monday 15 September. There is also a Student Free Day on Thursday 11 September.
There are also various sporting events for the Year 6 students this term. We continue to have excursions and incursions throughout the term and the STOMP program for the year 2-6 students begins in week 5.
The Parent's Trivia Night is coming up on Saturday 9th August with the Trybooking Link now ready to book your tickets. https://www.trybooking.com/DDZWP
Always a great night with our parent community. Thank you to the parents organising again this year.
I hope you have a lovely first week settling back into school routines
Kind Regards
