GRADE 5 INTERACTIVE DAYS

Grade 5 Students Experience a Taste of KSC Life
Korumburra Secondary College was buzzing with energy recently as we welcomed Grade 5 students from our local primary schools for two fun-filled, interactive transition days.
Day One saw students from Korumburra Primary School and Lang Lang Primary School join us, while Day Two featured visitors from, Poowong Consolidated School, St Joseph’s Primary School, Loch Primary School, and Nyora Primary School. Across both days, students experienced a variety of engaging activities designed to give them a taste of secondary school life at KSC.
In Science, students explored the concept of flight by building and launching their own rotocopters using a slingshot outside. To add to the excitement, the activity was captured from above by a drone, giving students a unique perspective on their creations in flight.
In another session, students participated in an AUSLAN (Australian Sign Language) class where they enthusiastically learned to sign the alphabet and a variety of colours — a fantastic introduction to inclusive communication.
The days wrapped up with a delicious hot dog lunch and some relaxed social time, allowing students to connect with new friends and future classmates.
