Leadership Centre

Salamat siang,
What an exciting start to Term 3 it has been in the Leadership Centre!
This week, our students enjoyed the last week of their swimming lessons—building confidence, strengthening their water safety skills and enjoying the final fun splash day. It has been fantastic to see their enthusiasm in the pool and the persistence they’ve shown when facing new challenges.
In the classroom, we’ve been continuing to explore NAIDOC Week by learning about this year’s theme and reflecting on the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We have also started our class novel - Tom Appleby's Convict Boy which is in connection with our Australian History Guided Inquiry topic.
In Maths, students have been applying their knowledge of perimeter and area to design animal enclosures for our upcoming Pleasant Day Out Fete. They’ve been challenged to plan safe and suitable spaces for different animals—thinking about the size, layout, and fencing required. It’s been a meaningful way to connect maths learning with a real-world event, and we’re proud of the creative and practical thinking they’ve shown.
As always, it’s been wonderful to see our students embrace each learning opportunity with curiosity and a growth mindset.
Have a great week ahead,
From the Leadership Centre
