Recently the SRC have introduced LUNCHTIME CLUBS!!! There are a few, different types of clubs. Today we will be telling you about… WRITING CLUB!!! We had our first gathering on Friday 24th October and it was a lot of fun. Loads of Year 5s, a couple of Year 2s and one Year 3 joined us. Mehaiah, Marcus, Minsu and Anna were the SRC Leaders running the club, Yasmeen, Austin and Leora also helped run the club.

We were writing all kinds of different stories like narratives and persuasive and if the writers were stuck, we helped them with anything they needed. When we were done with our first get-together, we knew that the Writing Club was a success! Many people came and we knew exactly what to do. We were very happy because a lot of students were still there when the bell rang. In the future, we think that we will do an amazing job. The SRC have been coming up with all different types of ideas and we can't wait to share these suggestions with everyone so that we can make the Writing Club more exciting and enjoyable.

On Thursday 6th of November, we ran Drawing Club. We had scrap paper, coloured paper, crayons, grey leads, and coloured pencils. It was fun and we drew pictures.

We decided that we would let all the people who signed up draw what they want. There was also a tutorial drawing of a Tacosaurus on the board. Some of the kids drew flowers, rainbows, cars and even 6/7 from Roblox. We saw some awesome drawings and everyone had fun.

On Thursday 6th of November at lunch time, the SRCs ran Sport Club for the first time and it went pretty well. The club took place on the tennis court and it was a very enjoyable time for all who played.

We did basketball and soccer and what made it so great is that we all cooperated and had fun! The students were nice to each other and enjoyed the activities. The SRC members there helped everyone join in and play. Some students were playing netball and taking shots by themselves and that was okay too.

The SRCs who ran Sports Club were Sheyon, Zac, Mackenzie, Owen and Jada. Marcus and Leora also helped and we appreciated it. Next time, we can change the sports we play or even do laps around the oval. Maybe we can call it Exercise Club instead. Thanks to this club, there are now 20 more smiles on people’s faces.
