IMPORTANT DATES 2026 FOR CASSIA

Meet and greet Orientation morning for ALL Cassia children and families

Tuesday January 27th, 9:30–10:30amWe invite all returning families and new families to come to familiarize your child and you with the space, the teachers and with each other.

Primary School starts

Wednesday January 28thPrimary School starts with a Welcome Ceremony for the new class one.There is no Cassia class this day as the Cassia teachers are involved in the ceremony.

Starting days in 2026 for Cassia children

Cassia has a staggered start to allow the children to settle in gently.

• Thursday January 29th – all children having a second year in Cassia
• Friday January 30th – all Cassia children attend for the full day
• Next 4 Fridays – no Cassia class as teachers are on home visits

From week 2 onwards: all young Cassia children (those turning 5) go home on Thursdays at 12:30pm.

Home visit days

Friday February 6, 13, 20, 27 – NO Cassia classes as the teachers do home visits.

Cassia Parent/Teacher Meeting

Thursday January 29th, 7:30–9pm for ALL Cassia families. What is this year in Cassia about? How can I help my little child, who is finding her/his way into the world, to get the most out of this year? We ask that every child be represented at this evening – it sets the scene for the year ahead.

Working bee with your child

Saturday February 7th from 8–10amA great time to meet and mingle and create an interesting and beautiful learning environment for the children.

Tuesday January 27th, 9:30–10:15amWe invite all returning families and new families to come to familiarize your child and you with the space, the teachers and with other RSB families.

Starting days in 2026 for RSB children

RSB has a staggered start to allow the children to settle in gently.

• Monday February 2nd – all children coming from Billy Button attend for a full day
• Tuesday February 3rd – ALL RSB children attend for the full day
• Next 4 Wednesdays – no RSB class as the teacher does home visits

Home visit days

Wednesday February 4, 11, 18, 25 – NO RSB classes as the teacher does home visits.

RSB Parent/Teacher Meeting

Tuesday February 10th from 3–4pmFor all RSB families. Come make an angel baby to support your little one at rest time as well as find out what this year in RSB is all about.

Tuesday January 27th, 10:15–11:00amWe invite all returning families and new families to come to familiarize your child and you with the space, the teachers and with each other.

Starting days in 2026 for BB children

BB has a staggered start to allow the children to settle in gently. You will be sent a letter to inform you of which day your child will attend for the first three weeks.

WEEK 1

• Wednesday January 28th – 1st group of 5 children attend
• Thursday January 29th – 2nd group of 5 children attend
• Friday January 30th – 3rd group of 6 children attend

WEEK 2

• Wednesday February 4th – 1st group of 5 children attend
• Thursday February 5th – 2nd group of 5 children attend
• Friday February 6th – 3rd group of 6 children attend

WEEK 3

• Wednesday February 11th – 1st group of 5 children attend
• Thursday February 12th – 2nd group of 5 children attend
• Friday February 13th – 3rd group of 6 children attend

WEEK 4

All children attend together for both Thursday and Friday sessions and no longer attend on Wednesdays.

🎒 Use your head — stay on the red!

🚫 Don’t go astray — don’t walk on the grey! 

(For new families: “red” refers to the red-coloured paths.)

🚶‍♀️ Walk only on the red paths — please don’t walk or run across the middle of the car park.

👀 Use the paths provided, even when you don’t have your children with you. It can be difficult for drivers to see pedestrians while reversing.

🌟 Set a great example for all students by following the rules.

⚠️ PLEASE SLOW DOWN — car park speed limit is WALKING PACE ONLY!

⛔ Do NOT leave your vehicle running.

Looking for fresh, local produce? Come by our stall every Wednesday from 2:40-3:30pm and grab the best of the season’s harvest! We will have some fresh veggies this week – all grown with love right from our farm. 

PLUS, we’re serving up delicious homemade icy poles to keep you cool after school!

Everyone is welcome, and we’ve got EFTPOS available for easy payment. See you there!
