AMEB exam certificates presented in assembly.  

On Monday, certificates were presented to the cellists and violinists who took Australian Music Examinations (AMEB) exams in Term 3. The exam is a significant achievement representing months of work preparing a variety of pieces and technical work as well as general knowledge, sight reading and listening skills. The string teachers have been impressed by the students’ persistence to keep working hard even when the task seemed so large; the resilience to get up and go again when it seemed too hard; and the confidence to present for an exam. 

Congratulations to Jasmine (2M), Frankie (4K), Hazel (4T), Isla (4K), Joanne (4O), Miles (4K), Pia (4T) and Kane (5T) for achieving great results and most importantly, furthering their musical skills.

We have another 3 cellists and 12 violinists taking exams in Term 4. What a great culture we have here at IPS that so many children rise to challenges!

Summer Strings Celebration Concert

This term, Start Up Strings, Corelli Strings, The Mangbows and Orchestra are all working towards performing at our end of year concert:

Wednesday 3rd December

6:30pm

IPS School Hall

Start Up Strings to wear free dress.

Corelli Strings & Orchestra to wear white on the top and black on the bottom.

Performers to arrive at 6:15pm.

Families to bring a plate of food to share for supper after the concert. 

Children in Corelli Strings and Orchestra have been invited to enter the annual drawing competition to create an artwork to be used for the concert poster and programme.
