Literacy

Literacy this fortnight has been a little different without Mr Stow while he has been on placement. Nevertheless, we have been working hard in our junior room, with the Year 1/2s discovering a new split digraph “o_e.”The Preps have been finishing their learning on the digraph “ck.”All of our students have also been revising nouns, adjectives, and verbs.

200 Nights of Reading

A huge congratulations to Odin for his commitment to reading!Odin was the first in our class to reach the massive achievement of 200 Nights of Reading.Well done, Odin!

Maths

We have finished our subtraction and addition unit. Students have done an amazing job learning how to use a range of strategies to add and take away, such as counting on, counting all, and using concrete materials like counters, MAB blocks, and number lines.

Prep Transition

Our new Preps have arrived!This fortnight we have had two Prep Transition sessions where the 2026 Preps came to meet their new classmates. So far, they have met all the amazing staff here at BPS, completed some hands-on activities with Coffey, and explored the different areas of our school.
