PE Report

On Thursday 6 November, BNPS had 8 students participate at the State Primary School Athletics championships held at the Lakeside Stadium.

To make it to this stage is an outstanding achievement given that one must finish in the top two of their event at the district stage, followed by the Divisional stage, and then the Regional stage.

Our 11-year-old Girls Relay Team put in a brilliant performance running a magnificent heat to qualify for the final where they finished 6th. Congratulations Harriet, Tully, Adelaide, and Georgia. It should be noted that this group also made the State final last year!

In addition, Adelaide ran an amazing 800m race to finish 6th while Georgia hopped, skipped and jumped her way to 8th in the triple jump. Unfortunately, Tully was unable to participate in the 80m hurdles event due to an earlier training mishap that left her with a fractured wrist.

Finally, our 12-year-old Boys Relay Team consisting of Kadir, Izaak, Jarvis, and Atticus ran an awesome heat however fell short of qualifying for the final by 0.31 sec.

The support that everyone gave each other throughout the day was sensational. This high level of support was mirrored at every stage – District, Divisional, Regional, and State and is a credit to every student that represented BNPS.
