YEAR 9 KEY INFORMATION: WEEK 4
Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Program
Last week, as part of our Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program, Mrs Earl delivered a valuable session on resume writing, equipping students with practical advice and tips in preparation for their upcoming VPG interviews in Week 5. This week, students will continue their preparation by practising interview questions, which will be shared with both students and Pastoral Mentors. For additional support, Mrs Earl will be available in the library during second lunch on Wednesday and Friday.
Trade Training Centre (TTC) Visits
Our Trade Training Centre (TTC) visits commenced last Thursday, with Groups 1 and 2 having the opportunity to observe vocational learning in action. It was a rewarding experience for all involved. Groups 3 and 4 will attend their visit next Thursday, and we look forward to another engaging session.
Junior Leader Position for 2026
We would also like to congratulate the many students who have applied for a Junior Leader position for 2026. Interviews will take place this week, and applicants have been notified of their scheduled times. If your child is absent, please ask them to reach out to reschedule their interview.
Vinnies Christmas Appeal Baskets
Finally, thank you to all students who have contributed items to our Vinnies Christmas Appeal baskets. We are currently running a Pastoral Group competition, with a prize awarded to the group that collects the most items. Additionally, individual students who contribute will be entered into a draw to win a tuckshop voucher.
