Vinnies Christmas Appeal Baskets
Thank you to all students who have contributed items to our Vinnies Christmas Appeal baskets. We are currently running a Pastoral Group competition, with a prize awarded to the group that collects the most items. St Mary’s Catholic College has a long history of support for this local community initiative, and I have challenged students to take the initiative and use their own money to select and purchase items, rather than leaving it up to their parents or caregivers. I would encourage you to enable your child to take responsibility for their contribution to this worthy cause.
Student Diary Focus
This week’s focus on Student Diary use was around Assessment Planners. Students took the time in PG to record the upcoming due dates for subject drafts and assessments. Given the short-term nature of the course, students must be organised and understand their assessment commitments to support their time management. Please help your child at home by encouraging diary use and checking their weekly entries.
