It's good to be back

It’s great to be back after a few weeks in Queensland and my long run. It was a fantastic experience, my kids even got along with each other for most of the time, and I crossed the finish line with them. I've been amazed at how many students have asked me how the run was - legends! I've included a couple of photos.

However, there’s nothing quite like returning to the rhythm of school life at Golden Square. I’ve come back feeling incredibly grateful - not just for our students and staff, but for the kind of community we get to be part of every day.

Now that we’re three weeks into the term, it’s been wonderful to see how settled and focused the students are. Out on yard duty this week, I was struck by how well they’re playing together - sharing spaces, including others, and showing the sort of respect and care that makes our school such a positive place to be. Whether was group of Preps experimenting with new games, or older students sharing the monkey bars or playing a game of 3-on-3 King of the Court, it’s great to see students enjoying each other’s company and making the most of their time outside.
