Principal's News

Mrs Gabrielle Espenschied

Dear Parents,

I’m back in our wonderful country and looking forward to Term 4 at St Mary’s. It is set to be  a great term focusing on ensuring every student continues to make positive growth in their learning, along with many opportunities for students to shine in activities such as concert, camps, swimming and many other Term 4 events.

A huge thank you to Sue Jackson for being Acting Principal in my absence and our wonderful leaders, Lisa, Amanda and Natalie, for helping keep things sailing. I could not be more grateful to be able to go away and know the school is left in the capable hands of our leadership team.

The Camino walk was an amazing experience and one I will treasure forever. Walking each day for 15-22kms along beautiful tracks, meeting people from all over the globe - young, old, different capabilities - all just on the same pathway with different purpose, but all walking for the common good.

Pope Francis asks for our global community to discover and implement common solutions to bring hope for all the world and for people to be on a pathway to ensure peace and love.

One world, one people, our common home - connection to the earth, grounded in nature, connected to the people you journey with and connection to self. With one foot in front of the other, following the Camino arrow, walking, listening, noticing, breathing.

Building Update

The building project has gone to tender over the last few weeks and a final decision will be made in the coming week. We will then commence our refurbishment of the middle and senior classrooms, our toilets and the creation of a discovery room. I will keep you all updated on this exciting project as it evolves and look forward to a wonderful result of much needed upgrades to our learning spaces.

Above all take care and I look forward to seeing you all.

Yours in Partnership,

Gab
