This has been a particularly enjoyable fortnight to bring Term 3 to a close. In recent days, the Annual Art Exhibition, held in the Technology Centre, featured wonderful artworks from Primary and Secondary students. Each year I am amazed at the skill and expertise of our young artists and this year was no exception. Congratulations to all involved particularly our Visual Art team of Amanda Lin, Luke Morgan, Simone de la Motte, Elsofie Dowd and Marjan Van Djik. Thank you also to the many families who visited the Exhibition this year, the children love you to see their artwork.
Our Year 6 and 10 students have had a terrific final week participating in their Encounters. The Year 6 students enjoyed their Boshack outback experience near Bolgart. The Year 10s hiked part of the Cape to Cape, abseiled and explored some caves enjoying the spectacular scenery of the south coast. Encounters are designed to build students' resilience, develop new skills and provide opportunities for individual and collective learning in different environments. Thank you to the staff involved in these important co- curricular activities for our students.
The 2024 Prefecture was announced at the Secondary Colours Assembly on Wednesday. Their portfolios will be revealed at the commissioning service in Term 4. Congratulations to the following students:

Farewell to Duffy
Duffy, Chaplain Justine's loyal companion has retired this week. Duffy has made a wonderful contribution throughout the School as a pastoral presence and Chapel dog. The students and staff have loved his warm, friendly nature and were visibly dismayed when I announced his departure at the Secondary Colours Assembly this week. Our junior and senior students will miss him in equal measure. We have been privileged to have had Duffy as a member of our community and thank Chaplain Justine.
Thank you Duffy for a job well done. You deserve to put your paws up and enjoy the comforts of home.
Year 12 Mock Examinations
Whilst most families will be enjoying a break from the school routine in the coming fortnight, spare a thought for our Year 12 ATAR students who will be writing their Mock Examinations in the second week of the holidays. This is a stressful time with students' school lives drawing to a close and final examinations looming. We wish them well.
With good wishes for a relaxing break with your children.
