Celebration of Learning

Thank you to all parents, carers, and special friends who attended the Celebration of Learning in the last week of term. We trust that you were able to capture and enjoy some of the wonderful learning opportunities that our students at Buninyong and Scotsburn Campus engage in. The Celebration of Learning provides an excellent platform for students to showcase the work they take pride in and celebrate the hard work they put in each day.

A massive thank you goes to Tracy and her team in the canteen for catering the night. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to do it all again in 2024!

Author Study

This week, students will be immersed in another Author Study, with Graeme Base as our focal author. Our goal is to foster a positive reading culture throughout the school, encouraging students to approach literature with enthusiasm and engagement. Author Studies serve the purpose of igniting passion and expanding knowledge about literature.

Throughout the week, students will have the chance to delve deeply into Graeme Base's life and explore many of his literary works. This exploration will extend beyond merely reading the books; students will critically evaluate the author's themes, characters, and writing style, while also drawing connections to their own life experiences.

We anticipate an exciting and enriching week of learning, and we look forward to sharing with you, next week, the fun and insightful experiences that transpired during this Author Study.

Swimming

The swimming program is coming up for all year levels. Please see the dates below for each year level’s scheduled swimming program.  This event will appear in Compass soon with all the details and will require parent consent. 

The cost of swimming this year will be approximately $20, which covers the cost of the bus travel. The actual swimming and water safety lesson costs are covered by funding received from DET.

Please speak to your child’s classroom teacher should you have any queries regarding swimming.
