FOOTY COLOURS DAY proudly supports the Mphatso Children’s Foundation

Thanks for the enthusiasm and energy that went into footy colours day at the end of Term 3. The students enjoyed the opportunity to show support for their favourite teams and there was some friendly rivalry throughout the day!

We must also congratulate everyone for the support shown towards Mphatso through the “Buninyong Cup” competition. While the final amount raised is still being counted, there were a LOT of coins collected, an outstanding effort. We’ll let you know as soon as we have a total.

Congratulations to GEELONG on winning the Buninyong Cup! The top 5 teams that collected the most coins this year:

  1. Geelong Cats- winner of the Buninyong Cup!
  2. Collingwood Magpies
  3. Essendon Bombers
  4. Richmond Tigers
  5. Western Bulldogs

Each of the top 3 teams required at least one additional container.

As many of you may know, we have had an ongoing relationship with Mphatso Children’s Foundation in Malawi for many years. A former parent of Buninyong PS, Robyn Casey, established the Mphatso Children’s Foundation back in 2004. Their mission is to FEED THE CHILDREN, GROW THE COMMUNITY & IMPACT THE FUTURE.

Staff vs. Student Dodgeball

The Staff vs. Students dodgeball event was an absolute 'hit,' with a tremendous amount of fun enjoyed by participants on both sides. While the students may have clinched the bragging rights for 2023, the staff is eagerly anticipating a rematch in 2024.

School Hats

A reminder that school hats must be worn by all students in term four while outdoors, in line with our sunsmart policy.

Remember: No hat – No play!

Students without a hat must sit in designated areas in the yard out of the sun.

All uniform items must comply with our school uniform guidelines, which can be found on our website https://buninyongps.vic.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/BPS-Uniform-Guidelines-2022.pdf .

Our uniform shop is fully stocked for over the counter and online sales. You can order and pay via QKR and your child can collect from the school office. If you call through to the office, delivery to their classroom can also be arranged.

Your help in ensuring that all students are in the correct uniform is appreciated. Please feel free to contact the school if you have any further questions.
