2023 Fair

Fair Update

School holidays are fast approaching and we would love to capitalise on any spring cleaning families are doing.

Please note we will let you know when we want you to drop things at the school. At the moment we are asking you to have a look and hold on to things for now. A further update will come in week 1 of term 4.

* silent auction items

* second hand books - all ages will be welcomed

* Lego and Fidget toys (we have noted the preps are also asking for these, so if you want o give them to the preps and then we can borrow them for the fair)

* keep cups

* Lucky envelope items such as new unused colouring books, puzzles, new unused stationary, small homewares (these all must be new or in excellent condition)

✨🌱 Calling All Gardeners!!!! 🌱✨

✨🌱 It's time to prepare for the plant stall 🌱✨

It’s SPRING, which means if your thumb is even slightly green it’s time to sprinkle some seeds or pot up some plants to give them time to look beautiful for the fair…

Some ideas:

  • Plant seeds - herbs, flowers, summer vegies
  • Make ‘salad bowls’ - in a wide pot, sow seeds or transplant seedlings of a mix of greens e.g. rocket, lettuce, herbs etc
  • Succulents - divide and pot up succulents, can be in any containers (e.g. jars, or tea cups and random containers from the op shop)
  • Un-potted succulent cuttings will also be welcome!
  • Dig up and divide things like shasta daises, yarrow, clivias, orchids etc - make sure each plant has a good chunk of root
  • Use recycled pots from your shed / friends and families / or come and see us in the school veg garden on a Friday after school, we’ve got loads of plastic pots
  • Please label everything! You can use popsicle sticks or cut-up milk bottles and a pencil or marker
  • Get your flowers growing too - we’ll be selling little posies of cut flowers at the stall, you can bring yours to add on the day

You don’t have to do everything, just what takes your fancy!

Please look after your plants at home, we’ll do a call-out to bring them in closer to the fair date.
