A note from Mrs Whitechurch

Special Staff Goodbye

Early next term we will be bidding farewell to Mrs Lucy Jackson as she leaves us to begin her adventures as a new Mum. We would like to thank her for her contribution to our community, particularly the students and families in 34J this year.

We are excited that Mrs Kate Arnot will be returning from her leave to fill the role as classroom teacher in 34J. Kate is a very experienced teacher who knows our community well. She will ensure the students finish the year strongly.

Other Staffing News

It is with some sadness that I wish to inform the community that I will be stepping down from my position as Assistant Principal at the end of 2023. I have loved my time as Assistant Principal but wish to explore other opportunities and work in a part time capacity. My connection and love for Rosanna PS will continue, as I resume my role as Leading Teacher and work part time. I look forward to welcoming a new Assistant Principal and assisting them to transition into their new role.

Father’s and Special Person’s Day Celebrations

Last Friday, the Prep Area was buzzing with excitement as we welcomed lots of Dads, Uncles, Grandfathers and other Special Visitors to our school. There was massaging, pampering, drawing and construction activities enjoyed by everyone! Thanks to the Prep team for making this event so much fun!

Projector

We now have an exciting new feature in Chandler Hall.  We have installed a projector and a huge screen measuring 150 inches.  It projects in widescreen resolution while maintaining fantastic image quality and strong brightness. It is a fabulous edition to this space and will be utilised in numerous ways.

Clubs

Students continue to enjoy a wide variety of experiences at our lunch time clubs. These clubs provide alternative play experiences and a chance for students to build new relationships in a supportive environment. Below is a timetable of the clubs available.

Students have also enjoyed meeting ‘Puggles’, a very cute, lovable guinea pig. Thanks to Jackie Arbuckle for bringing Puggles to school and helping students learn about caring for pets.

Footy Frenzy

Finals Fever is upon us!!! I can’t wait for the weekend ahead! (I’m a diehard blues supporter!!)

Next Wednesday, we are having our Footy Frenzy Day. Students are invited to wear their sporting colours and enjoy a host of activities. There will be a parade at 2:30pm so come along and be prepared to sing your team’s song with lots of enthusiasm!!
