Physical Education

Hi Families, 

We have had and still have many teams and individuals progressing through different District sporting finals.  I am so proud as their PE teacher to see how they dedicate themselves to the team/individual sport they progress into, come to training, take equipment home to practise and keep asking questions.  I love watching and hearing about all of their results and achievements and I am always so proud to see and hear how they conduct themselves at these events.  

Eastern Metropolitan Regional Athletic Finals

I want to send a huge congratulations to the students that made the EMR Athletic Finals last week.  It is an amazing effort to get this far (particularly when you don’t participate in the sport weekly like many that get to this level do).

EMR - Volleyball Finals

Next Tuesday 31st of October - 7 of our year 6 girls will be competing in the EMR Volleyball finals at The Nets, Heathmont.  We wish the following students (Uma, Ella, Poppy, Mila, Ashlee, Zara, Lucy) all the best and thank Mick and Kath McMahon for getting them as far as they have so far.  We will do some training at lunch time during the week to hopefully give them the best chance possible.

Division Cricket Finals

On Thursday 26th October we have a Mixed and Girls team going through to the Division Cricket finals at Elgar Park.  Sarah Plunkett will be coaching the mixed team and thank you to Craig Brookes that will be coaching the girls team.  We wish them all of the best!

District Sport in 2024

I am currently planning for our calendar for 2024.  So far we have the following running on the following dates so pop them in your calendars:

Swimming - Wednesday 28th February

Cross Country - Monday 20th May

Athletics - Tuesday 10th September

Swimming Trials

To start preparing for our first District event in 2024, if you child would like to try out for the District Swimming Team, please click here to register their interest along with what strokes they will be trialling.  Date of these trials are still to be confirmed, will have a date before the end of the year.
