SPORTS HIGHLIGHTS

Term 4 has kicked off with some amazing achievements. On the 12th of October 11 students competed at the Southern Metro Regionals Track and Field competition, this is the highest number of BSC participants we have had in years. We celebrate the achievements of Mia Torbet, Seraphina Hill, Elara Quinn, Josh Chetritt, Agatha Beare, Mia Davies, Nicholas Shaw, Isabella Hollins, Emily Burns, Clyde Rodbard-Penders, and Willem Rogaki who represented our college. Everyone did a fantastic job with many placing in the top three positions. A special mention to Isabella and Clyde who qualified for the State Track and Field Championships in their respective events. We wish them all the very best.

 

The Southern Metro Regional events continued with the junior girls’ tennis competition, after a washout in term 1, they continued their tennis journey and won the tournament. Congratulations to the team, Katherine Armstrong, Daria Caprotti, Indea-Bleu Kachagias, and Mackenzie Tempest. They will now represent BSC at the State Championships on November 16th. 

 

Furthermore, the year 7 and 8 girls' cricket teams also qualified for the Southern Metro Regional competition. It was a beautiful day and thank you to Mr Varney who coached the girls on the day and Mr Mangold for coaching the groups in term 1. Well done to those who competed on the day; Jamie Auret, Hannah Bogue, Evan Collins, Tanishka Dash, Shelly Farmer, Chelsea Hermus, Fifi Hill, Chloe Karaula, Zoe Katris, Georgia Koulmandas, Alice Kulik, Isla Mitchell, Steffi Paulin, Clementine Pitts, Cleo Preston, Ardita Selmani, Ruby Smith, Bianca Stockwell, Mackenzie Tempest, Lexi Younan, Tahli Younan, Hayley Zeev.
