Hi All,

You may have observed mainstream media reporting some alarming instances of students being robbed in vicinity of schools recently.  We are pleased to advise that Police have made an arrest this afternoon regarding the nasty incident in Glen Huntly where a student was injured.

Whilst these crimes are extremely concerning, we are not seeing these incidents occurring in the Darebin Police Service Area.  There will be an increased Police presence around the vicinity of schools in the next few weeks.

Please do not be alarmed by these increased patrols, they are designed to provide reassurance to both the students and families that Police are there.  It is not due to any known threat of these instances of robberies occurring within Darebin.
