School Wide Positive Behaviours

Our expectations for behaviour are based on our understanding and belief that all people should be treated with RESPECT and we have a RESPONSIBILITY towards the SAFETY of both ourselves and others.  It is the RESPONSIBILITY of everyone in our school community to ensure that others feel both SAFE and RESPECTED.

We show RESPECT at school when we

  • listen respectfully
  • use good manners and kind words
  • are inclusive
  • follow instructions

We show RESPONSIBILITY  when we

  • use appropriate voice level and tone
  • follow instructions
  • own our behaviours

We promote SAFETY when we

  • keep our hands, feet and objects to ourselves
  • report any unsafe behaviour to an adult as soon as possible
  • use good hygiene practices
  • follow instructions

Penguins, Penguins, Penguins - A STEAM Update

This term the Juniors have been learning about the four types of penguins connected to Antarctica - the coldest and windiest place on earth.

Our Juniors began painting penguins this week. Their artwork will be on display in Tasmania at the Australia Antarctic Festival in August. As evidenced in the photos below,  being responsible, respectful and safe, ensured a positive and satisfying experience for all - even the adults assisting :)

These senior students were also caught being RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE and SAFE while working on a new and exciting project to be shared at our Celebration of Learning morning.

LOST IN OUR SCHOOL YARD

Earlier this week a rose gold bangle that looks much the same as the image shown was lost in the school yard it belongs to a staff member so it is an adult size.

If it has been brought home or found could it please be handed into the office.
