A Message from Julie..
Over the past month the school has asked for expression of interest from family members to join our School Advisory Council for 2024. We received an overwhelming response and on behalf of Nigel Lee our School Advisory Council Chair I would like to welcome seven new members to the St Joseph’s SAC to join our existing members, Marsha Stanyer, Silvana Foti, Michael Garoffolo, Patrick Jong, Anish John and Fred Elias. Welcome to Patti Abeyratne, Baff Boakye, Michelle Wilkins, Kanika Singh, Manish Seth, Fran Lionti and Natalia Giglietta. As a council they will be a link and conduit between the school community parents, children, teachers, leadership team and our parish. Help and volunteer their time to the school when required and participate in think tanks as to how they can better our school community and provide support. Assist school with problem solving. Support school initiatives and the PFA eg: fundraising events if available. To work closely with the principal to ensure continued flourishment of our St Joseph’s community for many more years to come.
I would like to congratulate our students Jess, Izzy, Arok and Noah on their participation in the Fuse Cup at CRC North Keilor. On Friday 24th February the students danced their hearts out with rehearsed routines for the Just Dance competition. These students gave up their snack times to practise and master their dances. We had many smiles and some success on the day with each student having something to be extremely proud of. We also acknowledge Noah for being awarded the MVP (Most Valuable Player). Noah was someone who congratulated players from all teams, always supporting and caring for those around him. A huge thanks also goes to Claire Forbes for the time and support she gave in preparing these children for the event. We are so lucky to have such wonderful students who are noticed when out and about in our community. Many teachers from the Fuse Cup often compliment our children on their conduct and kindness and this competition highlighted the positive energy and vibrance of our students.
