Reminder - Bingo Helpers Needed
Last year, St Mary's Bingo contributed more than $20,000 to the school which has benefited us in many ways including purchasing land (Hall St properties) and resources for the school. The most recent donation was put towards the installation of new playground equipment. Unfortunately the volunteer roster is very low at the moment and they require help. If you can spare some time on a few Saturday nights a year, please consider assisting.
If you are interested please contact Maree Williams 0438 084 364 or by email mwills@smmooroopna.catholic.edu.au

We did some science experiments about what gummy bears do in vinegar, warm water and normal water.
We made porridge for Goldilocks.
We constructed sturdy beds for Goldilocks to sleep in.
We created our one bear characters that we wrote about in the afternoon.
We love doing STEM activities in the prep classroom to encourage inquiry learning.

New - 5/6 Winter Division Sports
We are so proud of the 5/6 students who recently competed in the football, soccer, tee ball and netball for division sports! They all represented St Mary’s with pride and great sportsmanship!
A special congratulations to Ms Carroll's netball team who won their grand final and have made it through to the next stage and are off to Benalla in August!
New - Preps Language Enquiry
Our recent language inquiry was the Gingerbread Man.
We explored science to see what happens when he falls in the water.
We constructed bridges for him to get across the river.
We explored 3D shapes by making cages for him to stay safe in.
Finally we designed and decorated our own gingerbread men characters for us to write about and eat.
It’s a very happy morning in preps. We love our Wednesday language inquiry’s.
