Mandarin

In Mandarin, we are learning numbers in Chinese.

Foundation students are learning to count from 1 to 10 in Mandarin with special finger signs. They have produced their first Chinese booklet from 1-3.

Year One and Two students are learning to count from 1 to 10 in Mandarin with special finger signs. They identified and wrote 1-10 in both Pinyin and Chinese characters.

Year Three and Four students learnt to count from 1-31 and list the 12 months of the year in Chinese.

Year Five and Six students are learning to count to from 1-99, and are learning to list 12 months of the year in Chinese. They are also studying the pictogram of the moon and sun in Chinese character form.
