Prep

Hello from PV

Term 2 has been a whirlwind of fun and learning for Prep V! We wrapped up Term 1 with the fabulous Easter Bonnet Parade, a delightful display of creativity and headgear.

In Term 2, we dove headfirst into math problem-solving strategies with the ever-patient Mr. Jellie guiding us. Who knew numbers could be this entertaining?

Our STEM afternoon was a hit, especially with our parents and grandparents joining the fun. We engineered marble mazes with Lego, built sky-high towers with planks (take that, Jenga!), and crafted colossal triangles with pattern blocks. The "Blast Off to 10" board game had us rocketing to new math heights, and our 2D shape pattern block pictures were nothing short of masterpieces.

The highlight of our term was definitely the ‘Inquisitive Forces and Motions’ science incursion. We became mini scientists, experimenting with catapults, bottle whirlpools, magnets, wind cars, popping springs, and even making ping pong balls float. It was an exciting day of discovery that left us all eagerly waiting for our next scientific adventure.
