High School Musical Jr

Devonport Christian School would like to introduce you to their Secondary school production for 2024, High School Musical Jr.

This production will be performed in our JILOA Centre at Devonport Christian School. These performances will be events to remember for our students and staff, and we look forward to seeing you there.

Evening Shows:

Thursday 4th July - 7:00pm

Tickets are now on sale using our online booking system.

All tickets have been discounted to the concession price of $22 per seat. Please indicate on the order form which show you wish to purchase tickets for. This form will be the only way tickets can be purchased, but does not guarantee ticket availability. Payments will be processed from Monday 3rd June and you will receive an email confirming your ticket order once payment has been processed. 

At this stage we are allowing families to purchase up to 4 tickets. Should there be additional tickets still available, we will inform DCS families on Monday 17th June.

Numbered seats will be allocated and tickets must be collected from the school office, if parents are unable to collect the tickets personally, please indicate on the form to allow for tickets to be sent home with students.

School Parking: Kiss and Collect Zone

Kiss and Collect is a two-minute parking space to use when you would prefer not to leave your car. Students can be dropped off in the morning and collected from 3:05pm in the afternoon, without the need for the driver to leave the vehicle. 

Please do not park and wait in this space as that can cause parking congestion in the driveway. If you park and your child is not already waiting for you, please leave and go back around and through the driveway and park again. This will give your child time to move from their classroom to the Kiss and Collect waiting area. Students are dismissed at 3:00pm and then need five minutes to make their way from the classroom to the Kiss and Collect area.

Handy tip: if you want to come through after 3:15pm you will find there is usually no line up making for a quick get away!

Kiss and Collect has a staff member on duty until 3:30pm. Any students not collected from Kiss and Collect before 3:30pm will move to the Reception Foyer area to wait for collection.

Unsung Hero: The Movie

Based on a remarkable true story, Unsung Hero follows David Smallbone as he moves his family from “Down Under” to the United States, searching for a brighter future after his successful music company collapses. With nothing more than their seven children, suitcases, and their love of music, David (for KING + COUNTRY’s Joel Smallbone) and his pregnant wife, Helen (Daisy Betts), set out to rebuild their lives. Helen’s faith stands against all odds and inspires her husband and children to hold onto theirs. With their own dreams on hold, David and Helen begin to realize the musical prowess in their children, who will go on to become two of the most successful acts in Inspirational Music history: five-time GRAMMY Award®-winning artists for KING + COUNTRY and Rebecca St. James.

Relief Staff Register

Devonport Christian School Inc. AGM

The Devonport Christian School Inc. AGM will be held on Tuesday 18 June from 6.45pm in the JILOA Centre.

Members of the DCS community are welcome to come along, with Association members able to participate in the election of Board members.

Winter Solstice Splash

At Devonport Christian School we are all about community! We love that Devonport Chaplaincy lives and serves the community, as a school we wish to advocate and champion them in all they do. We are fundraising to support Devonport Chaplaincy, to continue Chaplaincy in all local schools and support mentoring, training, the learner driver program and school breakfasts. Emperor Penguins live in colonies and as a team they embrace the cold and huddle together supporting one another. As a DCS team, we will take the 'plunge' together, embrace the cold together, with hope to raise awareness for Devonport Chaplaincy and their commitment to our wider Devonport community. Help us meet our goal by donating today to support our team!

Early Learning

At DCS we offer two fun and friendly Early Learning programmes.  Come along and connect with others over a delicious hot drink while your children play.  Please call the school office on 6423 1373 if you require further information.

Little Sprouts

Little Sprouts is a hands-on nature-based playgroup for children aged 3 and 4 years and is held every Thursday from 8:45am - 10:30am, during school terms. Gather together in the Kinder room and we will then move across to the garden area.

Jiloa Juniors

Jiloa Juniors is held every Friday from 8:45am - 10:45am, during school terms, and is for children from birth to 5 years with their carers. Jiloa Juniors is held in the Kinder area.
