Year 1 Community 

In Year 1, we are currently exploring Earth and learning about different countries and cultures. Each of the classes have been rotating to the other Year 1 teachers and being taught about a different country each week. 

In the continent of Africa, we have Mr Miles exploring Egypt. The students get to dive into the history of this ancient civilization and to learn about the construction of the Pyramids of Giza. 

Miss Scrivano is showing her own culture of Italy with students getting to design a poster of the beautiful Italian landmarks. 

Miss Batchelder has her chef hat on while making gyozas and the students get to taste the exquisite flavours from Japan.

Mrs Hicks is getting creative in Brazil with students getting to create their own Carnaval mask.
