That’s a wrap! – a message from P&F President Chantel Elliott
I couldn’t be prouder of the achievements of the P&F volunteers at St Joseph’s, who have worked tirelessly on a variety of fun activities for students in 2024. We’ve laughed in our PJ’s at the trivia night, run through coloured dust in the Colour Run, enjoyed lattes from our Mothers Day Coffee cups and eaten more chocolate than we could fit in the hall for the Easter basket raffles!
A special thank you to the volunteers who leave us this year, as their children graduate and move onto new adventures. We will miss your dedication and creativity.
We look forward to an exciting 2025!
We did it!!
As you may have noticed, the shade cover is now up and in good use by students in the upper playground. This school improvement would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the P&F volunteers.
The suggestion for additional shade to be provided in the school playground was made by a parent at a P&F meeting in 2022. In 2023 the school Spring Fair raised $38,000 which contributed to some of the cost for the shade cover, which was erected this year in time for summer.
Our sincere thanks to the numerous P&F volunteers who fundraised, workers behind the scenes and volunteered on the day to make the Spring Fair one of the best St Joseph’s has seen.
Whats next?
Preparations for the next Spring Fair are underway, with suggestions from the school Executive and P&F that these funds be used to replacement the upper playground equipment, which has started to rust. The Diocese have declined the school’s request for funding for the replacement at this time, which means the Spring Fair will providing the majority of funds for the equipment.
Colour Run fun!!
What an incredible day! The dark clouds could not dampen this colourful day!
Thank you for all the volunteers and teachers who helped us adjust everything at the last minute to ensure the day could go ahead. The funds raised by this event are used for down payment on rides for the 2025 Spring Fair. The link to submit your sponsorship funds is still live on Flexischools or you can drop the money in to the office.
