SJB Got Talent

SJB's got talent is a special time of year where students have the opportunity to showcase their talents to the rest of the school. We have made some changes to the way that our show will run this year.

  • Parents are asked to fill out a google form if they would like their child to participate in auditions with their grade.
  • This is an opportunity to showcase the talent of our students, this may be an extracurricular activity that your child does outside of school such as dance, drama, playing an instrument etc..
  • Each grade will have a ‘Grade’s Got Talent’ show to hold auditions ie: Year 2’s Got Talent!. 3-4 acts will be chosen per grade to perform in the hall
  • Performances will need to be 3 minutes maximum
  • Forming groups for acts or practising will not be done during class time - this will need to be completed out of school hours
  • Performances will be presented in two groups - infants and primary during Monday of Week 10 (more information to follow)
  • Music will need to be provided via email/usb in order for us to have it ready to go

The cut off to place nominations is Monday 9 December 2024

Important Update for all Parent/Grandparent Volunteers & Contractors

New Visitor Management System for School        Sign-Ins

We are excited to announce the implementation of a new Visitor Management System designed to streamline and enhance the safety and efficiency of signing in at our schools. This system will change the way parents and visitors sign in, ensuring a smoother and more secure process.

Important Steps for All Parents:

Token for Onboarding Process: If you have previously provided the school with your Working With Children’s Check number you will receive an email with your token via email shortly. If you would like to start volunteering, please click on the link provided below to complete the new on boarding process.

Clearance for Volunteering: Once you have completed the onboarding process, you will receive clearance from the Child Protection team from the Catholic Education Office, allowing you to volunteer in our schools.

Quick Sign-In App: To make the sign-in process even simpler, we have introduced a quick sign-in app available for download from both the App Store and Google Play Store. This app will allow you to sign in quickly and efficiently whenever you visit the school.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we transition to this new system. Our goal is to ensure the safety and security of all students, staff, and visitors. Should you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the school office

School Student Travel - Year 3 2025

Students in the Opal network applying for an Opal card (including a Term Bus Pass) for the first time will receive their School Opal card at their nominated postal address from mid-January 2025. Students progressing from year 2 to year 3 and from year 6 to year 7 do not need to re-apply if they:

  • are continuing at the same school, and
  • are residing at the same address, and
  • have not been sent an expiry notification from Transport for NSW.

Where a student meets the new distance eligibility, the system will automatically update their entitlement. If they do not meet the new eligibility, they will receive an expiry notification.  Students who change address, school, campus location, have repeated a year or received an expiry notification for their school travel entitlement need to renew or update their details before the end of Term 4. This will ensure that schools can endorse applications, so their travel entitlement can remain valid for the start of the 2025 school year.Students who have an entitlement approved under a medical condition that is due to expire will receive a notification advising them to re-apply.
