School Wide Positive Behaviour Support

Starting the day, Ready to Learn, is a crucial part of our SWPBS processes. Every student is greeted every day by the Principal, Mr Quinn, and any student that has issues with uniform or their materials, including their MyTech Device, is directed to the Community Meeting Room (colloquially known by students as the "CMR") where they will be supported by another member of the Principal class or Wellbeing team. This support includes uniform being offered, in the absence of a note from home explaining the uniform issue, or a call home to discuss and create a plan to assist families to follow these important school processes.
Late passes are also issued via the CMR with a supporting note from home. In the absence of a note from home, as well as being late for Home Group (which commences at 8:50am) or late to any class, as well as no materials or out of uniform without a note, teachers will make a callout to the Wellbeing Rover team who will collect students, with their learning being supported by a school leader in the CMR for the remainder of the period. If a student records two (2) CMR entries in a day, a call will be made home to facilitate an early exit for a reset until the next day or an enrolment into senior classes if this cannot being facilitated.
The above described processes ensure that students are ready to learn from the start of the day and the beginning of each lesson, are evidence informed to provide a Safe and Orderly Learning environment for all students. We thank all members of our community in supporting these important Ready to Learning expectations that support and underpin our SWPBS processes.
