SSV STATE VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

A big congratulations to the team for winning the SSV State Volleyball Championship for 2024.

It was the first time our boys have gotten this far, so it was a little bit of a nervous time during the day for the parents and coach (students were ok). These boys have been training each week at lunchtime for most of the year (including the emergencies). 

Volleyball is a team sport where you rely on each of your team players to work together at all times. Every game they played in their “Pool” was close, with at least one set going to an advantage (eg 22 to 20). 

They did end up on top of their “Pool” and needed to play off the semi-final against the second team from the other Pool to qualify to play in the Grand Final.  

I was very proud of all the students with the behaviour, sportsmanship on and off the court. They demonstrated the school values throughout the day.
