Congratulations Christiana B!

Two weeks ago, I went to compete for Victoria in the 2024 National Championships for Taekwondo in Brisbane, Queensland.  It was amazing!  My club is Royal Empire Martial Arts and I train about 5 days a week.  My division was 8-9 girls 25-28 kgs.

The second day I got there I got sick and I just got better the day before my competition.  I had lost 3 kilos and felt tired a lot.  It was so hot, over 30 degrees every day.

I fought at a big stadium in Southport and there was more than 170 competitors and over 3000 people - it was huge.  I had 2 fights for gold, I had fought one of them before and when I beat her I knew I had a tough final ahead.  My parents and brothers came to watch me and everyone was cheering for me.  It was a hard final but I tried my hardest and won the gold!   By Christiana (Gr3/4Z)
