Big Day In

We are thrilled to share the exciting highlights from our recent Big Day In at Heathmont East Primary School! Our Level 2 students had an unforgettable day filled with educational, creative, fun and physical activities that sparked their curiosity and imagination.

Our students stayed late to enjoy a variety of engaging activities that challenged their minds and bodies. Here’s a glimpse of the fantastic experiences they had:

The excitement kicked off with a series of fun challenges! Students participated in the 'Number Race', seeing how many numbers they could write in just one minute. They also enjoyed the 'Dice Stack' challenge, where they balanced popsicle sticks and dice, and the ever-popular 'Bottle Flipping' competition. Laughter and friendly competition filled the classrooms!

Next, students tested their knowledge with a lively Trivia Quiz! They answered fun questions about geography, maths, and science, all while grooving to upbeat dance music. The quiz included a thrilling Guess the Logo segment, where teams scored points for their knowledge and teamwork!

The fun continued outside with a series of energetic Outdoor Activities! Students participated in a 3-Legged Race, tackled the Hula Hoop Challenge, and raced in the classic Egg and Spoon Race. They also enjoyed the Gumboot Throw and the Flip 5 Hockey Pucks challenge, where teamwork and coordination were key!

In a creative twist, students crafted their very own glowing campfires using electronic candles. This 'Make Your Own Campfire' activity allowed them to create a fun night light while exploring their artistic side!

As the day continued, the fun didn’t stop! From 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm, students danced their hearts out at a Fun Disco in the gym, featuring Just Dance and other exciting group dance games. 

To cap off the day, from 3:45 pm to 4:45 pm, the talented Rick the Magician amazed our students in the music room with mind-boggling magic tricks, including mind reading and disappearing acts that left everyone in awe!

We are so proud of our Level 2 students for their enthusiasm and participation in the Big Day In! It was a wonderful opportunity for them to learn, create, and bond with their classmates in a fun and engaging environment.
