HEPS Christmas Concert- Monday 9th December 6.00-8.00 PM

Mark your calendars! Our HEPS Christmas concert is one of the highlights of the year, and we’d love for you to join us on the oval for an evening of fun, festivity, and music as we celebrate another amazing year at HEPS. See you all on Monday 9th December between 6.00-8.00 PM.

Foundation 2025 Transition

We've had three fantastic Foundation Transition sessions so far, each one a great success! Our new students adapted wonderfully, enjoying the chance to meet future friends, connect with some of our teachers, and explore the school buildings and playground. Next week, our Foundation students will meet all our specialist teachers engaging in ART, PE, Japanese, Sustainability and Music. During the first two sessions, we also hosted a morning tea for parents, giving them a lovely opportunity to start building connections with one another.

Looking Ahead to 2025: Whole School Transition Sessions

As we approach the end of the term, excitement is building for what lies ahead in 2025! This week marked the start of our Whole School Transition sessions, where students from the same level came together to connect, play engaging games, and collaborate with peers beyond their usual classroom groups.

The final transition session will take place on Thursday 19th December when students will discover their new classroom teacher and classmates for the upcoming year. We look forward to supporting everyone in this exciting next step of their learning journey!

Level 5 Camp

Our Level 5 students recently enjoyed an unforgettable experience at Ferngully Adventure Camp near Healesville! With perfect weather and exciting activities, the students had an amazing time bonding, learning, and challenging themselves. A huge thank you to our dedicated Level 5 teachers for planning such an outstanding adventure—one that created memories our students will cherish for years to come. We’re so proud of everyone for embracing the spirit of resilience, growth, teamwork and adventure! Currently, we have our Level 6 students at Waratah Beach. Stay tuned for updates on this in our next newsletter.

Remembrance Day Assembly

Last Monday, we held a heartfelt Remembrance Day Assembly that brought our school community together in a beautiful tribute to our fallen soldiers. A special thank you to our dedicated School Captains and JSC members for organising such a thoughtful and moving ceremony. We were also deeply touched by the Level 2 students, who shared their beautiful poems, reminding us all of the importance of honouring this day.

Junior School Council Remembrance Day Ceremony

Last week, several JSC representatives proudly attended the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Ringwood Memorial Clock. They laid a wreath on behalf of our school as a tribute to those who served in the wars, ensuring their sacrifices are always remembered.

The event also provided an opportunity for our students to connect with peers from other local schools, engaging in meaningful discussions and deepening their understanding of Remembrance Day's significance. It was a heartfelt and memorable experience, and our JSC representatives were honoured to participate in this important community tradition.

As stated in the last newsletter, staff at HEPS are busy writing Semester 2 reports. These reports provide a great overview of students’ progress based on the completion of several assessments and classroom observations over the course of Semester 2.

Parents can access the reports via Compass on Thursday 19 December. We encourage you to save a digital version of your child's report to access at a later date; this is especially important for our Level 6 students as reports will be unavailable from Compass after 20th December once the administration system has been rolled over to 2025.
