Year 11 mentors support the transition of our 2025 Year 7 students
On Friday 27th November Lainey Doyle led the Year 11 mentors in supporting the transition of our 2025 Year 7 students. Current Year 6 students were escorted around the secondary campus, shown how to open combination locks, toured the learning building and tech wing, and navigated their way around the scheduling system on Compass.
This event was successful, with students buzzing and raving about the opportunity.
"I feel so much more confident about secondary school now," said Aurora.
F2D News
During the past two weeks, students in F2D have been very busy presenting their work to our Seymour College community.
After six weeks of planning, drafting, and constructing, they published their first picture storybooks. They set off to read to the year 5/6 students and impressed them with their high-quality narratives. Rich conversations were had around how they went about creating the books.
During the art show held in the CAC, students not only shared their own artwork, but also enjoyed the exceptional sketches, pottery and paintings by older students.
To top it all off, F2D worked on persuasive Santa letters that were mailed off on Wednesday morning. Fingers crossed that Santa’s elves will respond before Christmas!
Year 5/6 News
Year 5/6 C have been working on a 'Readers Theatre Presentation' to share with the younger students.
Great skills everyone!
