BICCYs OP SHOP (Church St, Brighton)

Chaplaincy at Brighton Secondary College has been a long and integrated role within the BSC Community. With the support of a local Op Shop who contribute a generous donation to BSC Chaplaincy, the work of supporting our student’s wellbeing continues on. 

BICCYS is the local Op Shop who have generously been raising and donating money to fund the Chaplaincy role for many years. A recent visit to BICCY’s by the Chair of the Chaplaincy Committee and our current BSC Chaplain had us informed that BICCY’s stands for the Brighton Inter-Church Council (the Y was later added on) and was established in 1969 in direct support of Chaplaincy. For a small op shop they are contributing in large ways!  

It’s nearly time for Spring Cleaning!

This is the perfect opportunity to invite the BSC community to support the work of BICCY’s in the following ways:

1. Consider dropping off your second-hand goods 
2. Browse and purchase items on your next visit to BICCY’s 
3. BICCY’s operates on the faithful service of long-term volunteers. If you (students and/or parents) are interested in volunteering, drop in and have a chat with the store manager.
