YEAR 9 CAMP

On Wednesday 7th August the year 9s went on their three day camp to The Summit in Trafalgar East.

It was three jam packed days of activities which included The Summit Window, Snowy River Challenge, Leap of Faith, Flying Fox, Laser Skirmish, Inflatable City and Victoria’s biggest Giant Swing. The activities were all challenging and they required everyone to work as a team. Some of the heights activities were harder for some but we all supported each other and encouraged each other to get involved. We all learned how to work with people we didn’t know very well so we were pushed out of our comfort zone.

A highlight of the camp was the Monster Course where everyone got wet and muddy while having a lot of fun at the same time. The course tested our ability to communicate, problem solve and our resilience when we found out that we had to do it again. It was cold but the obstacles were fun and challenging and the mud made things extra difficult at times.

At night time the teachers ran a trivia night and a move night. The trivia night was very entertaining and the movie night was great as we were all very tired by then.

On the last day we voted for our MVP from each group, the person that lived the camp values to the best of their ability. These people then got to rid in an ex-army tank and drive over an old car.

The camp was a great experience and we want to thank all the teachers that gave up their time to come on the camp.
