Hai Foundation families,
While it was a short week, it was still jam-packed with lots of learning.
In Maths, we explored addition, using hands on materials and a range of strategies to solve problems. Students practised using 'counting on', 'pairs to 10' and drawing visual representations to assist them, as well as recording number sentences using key words '_ and _ is _' such as '6 and 7 is 13.
We also continued our Narrative Writing unit in which we retold the story 'Goldilocks and the Three Little Bears' and wrote about a mysterious box that appeared in the MPRPS courtyard. Students used their creativity to describe the box and think of interesting problems and solutions. In FE, Indi thought there could be a bunny in the box, Alessia predicted there may be 100 cantelopes and Leila thought there could be a dragon breathing fire. Yijian wrote that we may need to call the zoo keepers for help and Xing thought the firefighters could help as well.
Have a wonderful afternoon,
Tegan, Emma and Ashley
