Selamat Siang
This week has been an exciting fun-filled week beginning with a curriculum day on Monday. The 1/2 team reflected on how our morning circles are going, and how we improve student stamina and engagement, we also got to have a tour of the new buildings! Super exciting times ahead!
We have been extremely excited about the arrival of a special yet suspicious delivery to MPRPS which sparked lots of discussion about what could possibly be inside the box. Using inspiration from the picture book 'The Fearsome, Frightening, Ferocious Box' students wrote a narrative in Writing lessons about what could be inside, how the delivery got here and who opened the box! Just ask your child! So much FUN!
In Reading, we have been looking at text-to-text connections, how texts are similar and different to each other. In Mathematics, students have been solving worded multiplication problems through arrays, repeated addition, and number sentences as well as exploring money through additive counting of coins (dollars and cents) in preparation for the Father's day stall! Kitchen Garden continues to be a hit and we have been enjoying weeding, planting potatoes and cooking spaghetti too!
We hope you have a great weekend!
Emma, Suzie, Miss Shaye, Amanda, Miss Emmett, Kate and Mrs Seadon.
