Western Metropolitan Finals
Congratulations to our Mixed Netball Team, who competed in the Western Metropolitan Finals at the Geelong Sports Hub last Friday.
They played seven games in all and got off to a great start winning their first game 8-6.
But the competition got tougher and tougher, and although having some close results, we finished 6th overall.
It was a great experience for our children, and we thank Mr Palanca for co-ordinating these sporting opportunities.
District Athletics
Next Thursday we will be sending a team of around 40 students to compete in the Footscray District Athletics Carnival at Moonee Ponds Athletics Track. We wish them all the best and trust that they will represent our school with pride.
Footy Colours Dress Up Day
Just planning ahead, on Friday 30th August we will celebrate the AFL final series with our annual ‘Footy Colours Dress-Up Day’.
On this day children are invited to wear their favourite AFL team colours to school and I hope to see a sea of black and white (Go Pies!)
Fathers' Day Brekky
Also on Friday 30th August, we will kick off Fathers' Day Weekend (ha ha), with our Fathers’ Day Breakfast.
Breakfast will be served from 8:00 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. and what better to serve Dad than a hot bacon and egg roll? Don’t forget to wear your Footy Colours to school (dads and children)!
Fathers' Day Stall
Following breakfast, our traditional Fathers’ Day Stall will return. There will be a myriad of gifts to choose from starting from as little as $1.00. It is up to each family to decide what would be an appropriate amount to spend.
Positive Behavior
There are still a number of families yet to read and sign the Parent-Guardian Code of Conduct recently sent out through Operoo.
You would have received automatic reminders so we ask that you promptly attend to this.
Corpus Christi School is committed to ensuring a respectful learning environment that is safe, positive and supportive for all students, staff and visitors of the School.
Year Prep 2025 Enrolment Interviews
We have commenced our Enrolment Meetings for Year Prep 2025.
If you are still yet to submit an application for your child or know of a child who wishes to enrol, please complete an application form and forward it to the office as soon as possible. Enrolments are filling fast!
Timetable change for Week 6
Due to various events taking place next week, we need to swap the Tuesday and Thursday Specialists' timetables.
Prep and Year 5/6 students will need to wear their PE uniforms on Tuesday 20th August and Years 1/2 and 3/4 will need to wear their PE uniforms on Thursday 22nd August.
School Hats
As per our Sun Smart Policy children are required to wear either the school legionnaire’s hat or bucket hat (both Anti-Cancer Council approved) from mid-August to the end of April whenever they are outside.
From next Monday 19th August please ensure your child has their school hat each day so that they can participate fully during their PE classes and recess breaks.
