Some words from the Principal

Mrs Danielle Heatley

Book Week

One of my favourite weeks of the school year has happened this week —Book Week!   The amazing Alpha Show yesterday and then the highlight of the week (maybe even year), of course, is the Book Parade. It’s truly one of my favourite days of the year! Seeing our students (and staff) dressed as their favourite book characters makes me smile. The creativity and enthusiasm they bring to this event is so fun and joyful, and it’s a wonderful reminder of how books can spark imagination and bring stories to life.

Student Voice in Action

Last week I was invited to the Student Representative Council meeting and was presented with a very compelling case from students across the school.  They are requesting a Ga Ga Pit to be installed to enjoy at breaks! They certainly convinced me about why it would be a great idea, so we have ordered one and look forward to it being installed this year!  Please see the Student Representative Council page for more information - I certainly had some learning to do about what a Ga Ga Pit is!!  :)

Fathers and Fellas Day Morning – Monday, 2nd September

2024 Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey

If all families were to complete the surveys we would have 312 responses - currently we have 58 responses which is 19%

The information you provide as KPS community members is highly beneficial for guiding our next steps and decision making at the school. It is also an opportunity for us to hear your feedback and respond accordingly.

This will be open until Friday 30th August and we really value parent input so please take the opportunity for your voice!  (See Compass for log on details)

Thankyou to those parents who were able to come to the parade today! Have a wonderful week and I look forward to seeing you around the school,

Regards,
